Yesterday was the perfect rainy Sunday. Tyler and I woke up pretty early for a Sunday--9 am! Okay, maybe I woke up at 9:30. We made coffee, I cleaned the apartment and made raspberry cordial just like in Anne of Green Gables (for a book club, which ended up getting postponed due to weather), and then we read all day! I barely moved from the couch all afternoon.
There's nothing like a quiet rainy reading Sunday. The windows were open, the air was cool (even if it was super humid), and I could almost sense the first tiny hints of fall. Ty even bought steaks and we had a little steak dinner. It was a lazily perfect day to recharge and be happy.
I'm pretty sure that Niles was in heaven!
