Kittens

Last night we celebrated Dave's birthday, who conveniently lives next door (he also owns duckduck, the bar next to our apartment). Brita made lobster rolls and KILLED THE LOBSTERS HERSELF! She also made a delicious tiramisu ice cream cake, which I rudely had one and a half pieces of. (I'm sorry, Brita, I couldn't resist.)

One of the best parts about the party was the kittens! Dave's cat Missy had a litter of kittens--five cute, cuddly kitties, now about 5 weeks old.

Doesn't it make your heart melt? It took all of our collective willpower not to take one home with us. Of course we'd love for Niles to have a friend, but truth is it would be too expensive--another litter box, twice as much food, and twice as much cat hair.

So hard to resist. I'm proud of ourselves.
